Now It’s Time to Build Your Athlete Profile

If you’ve read about Sportamix, and understand the benefits of connecting to a global sports platform, then it is time to join in on that worldwide network. It’s an obvious next step do get that shot at achieving your dream in sports, whether it’s a hobby or an aspiring profession.

You need to have a Sportamix athlete profile so that people who can offer advice, or coaches who can take you to the next level, or fellow athletes in your favorite sport can all connect with you.

It’s important that you are honest, and thorough, so that others can best assess your needs and see how they can help.

Get Started By Signing In

The first step is to go to the main Sportamix home page and go to the “Let’s start” section on the right side of the page.

Fill in your First and Last names and then search for your sports in the pull-down menu under “Choose your sport…”

This part is crucial, but you can change it if you need to, and you can add another sport of your interest once you sign in. Look over the list completely, there are different names for the same sport, and there may be specialties of sports that you may know that are also listed.

So, from Darts to Dragon Boating, Kabaddi to Windsurfing, pick the sport you want to master, or that you know well. If you can’t find your specific sport, choose “Other” and then later write Sportamix to add it to the list.

Include your email that you have access to and that you check regularly (not a work or school email), type your password twice, and then click “Register Now.” You can also sign up via Facebook.

The next page has a pull-down menu of your country. You can see that virtually every corner of the world is covered. Then, click the gender you identify with, and include your birth date in the pull-down menu.

Click the “Close” button and get the email verification by checking your email. Click the verification link and it should take you to the Sportamix homepage again and it should say “Email verified” on the far right. Then click “Let’s go.”

Complete Your Profile

Check that the information is correct. The Language pull-down menu may have selections of various languages from the country you picked. Click on the one you know best.

You can change your “Primary Sport” if you wish, and include your height and weight. The “Measure System” pull-down allows you pick “Imperial” which is pounds and inches, or “Metric” which is kilos and meters.

Click on the grayed photo on the left to upload your own photograph with the basic image formats. The maximum upload size is 50 mb, and you can always change or update the picture.

Include your Club or Team name, your school, web site and achievements. Don’t worry if you don’t have too much to put down at the moment, because in time, you will have more achievements to add.

Link your Instagram account, and connect it to other public profiles and accounts of yours if you wish, and then decide how you want to be contacted when someone reaches you through Sportamix.

Now You Can Network

The boxes on the left of your profile page allow you to connect to others. Click on “News Feed” to see what others are discussing — sometimes in different languages — and you can add questions, articles, videos, photos and events that you care to share with others. Also feel free to comment on what others are sharing.

When you click “Grow Your Network” you are allowed to find and invite friends to your own personal network, sync your contacts, and invite people by email.

Finally, it’s your chance to explore and network. Keep adding updated achievements, photos, videos and wish-lists. Sportamix can help you make the most of your presence in the sports world.
